The oil and gas industry is experiencing a generational shift. The veteran workforce—many of whom spent their careers building and maintaining the backbone of the industry—is retiring or nearing retirement. More than one-fourth of employees at U.S. oil and gas companies are approaching retirement age, and many are frontline employees.
